 M/M S HUNT & FAMILY topped Sarsfield last week from Thurles with a two year old check hen. The bird was first home in Sarsfield with a velocity of 1880.968 ypm. She is a Sticker Donker X van der Brune, and this is her second win after winning as a young bird taking 2nd Fed. She was injured last year and didn't race at all but she seems to be in top form now. Her nest mate has three club wins and 3rd, 7th and 14th fed. The lads had a perfect start to the season taking the first 5 in the club when 42 members sent a bumper 841 birds. Anto Sweeney had them in good form for 6th and 7th with the master Padner Byrne still banging them in for 8th, 9th and 10th. Kevin Barry |
