![]() Noel with the ISRF Penzance Open winner 2013. The ISRF liberated at 06:15AM with 1713 bird from Penzance on July 13th. Noel Deegan topped the Finglas club flying a yearling Blue cock with a velocity of 1076.383 y/m. He also topped the ISRF against 342 members. Noel flies 231 miles, 546 yards from Penzance. This race had been rescehduled from a month previous due to bad weather and it was brought forward by the ISRF committee to July 13th. Noel Deegan races in the Finglas RPC . With 34 members, the Finglas club is one of the top clubs in the Irish South Road Federation. Noel is a members for the Finglas club for 34 years. Breda Deegan, Noels wife, races in the Dublin North County . Breda and Noel Deegan race from the same address but compete in different clubs. The Dublin North County R P C has 17 members and the club has put some great racing performances over the years. Breda herself has won the ISRF open channel race from Sennen Cove in June 2011 with a blue yearling cock and a velocity 882.11 y /min when her pigeon flew 233 miles and 1178 yards in a hard race to her loft. ![]() The winning cock is now paired to a Jan Grondelaers hen that has herself bred a 1st open Penzance and has bred winners every year. The Grondelaers came from a good friend of Noels - Colm Flemming in Southport and was given as a present to Breada and Noel when Breada was starting up in the Dublin North County club. Noel is a member of Finglas R.P.C since 1978 and has enjoyed racing - he's looking forward to every race short or long. Noel would like to thank James Boland and Colm Flemming for the very good birds they have shared with him over the years.
