![]() M/M Mick Flynn was the Open Winner for the first time at Barleycove OB (West Cork) on 19th may 2013. Mick races in the Sarsfield RPC which has a membership of 54 members and he has been racing pigeons for the last 50 years The Sarsfield RPC is always one of the strongest racing clubs in the Irish South Road Federation and has won the ISRF Club averages trophy many times over the years. M/M Mick Flynn was the top flyer in the federation in the past and have won the averages in his club on many occasions . M/M Mick Flynn have raced in 4 races this year and have managed to get in to the club result in all 4 races and winning one to date . He also won 5 club races last year against an average birdage of 700 which can reach in many races 800 to 900 birds sent . He races only pure widowhood and races the hens as Y B. M/M Mick Flynn races between 20 and 30 birds generally when racing . The ISRF liberated 6164 birds from 410 members in a SE wind from Barleycove on 19th may 2013. M/M Mick Flynn sent 8 birds to the race missing one in a tough race as you can see from the velocity. Pigeons in Ireland don’t like the east wind. M/M Mick Flynn fly’s 193.miles 461.yards and with a two year old cock has won the ISRF Open for the first time from Barleycove with a velocity of 1321.192 y/m and won his section C and club also . M/M Mick Flynn have been 2 nd open in the past but never managed to win it until now. This cock was on the pure widowhood system. The Sire of this bird is a good racing cock and sisters and brothers of the winning bird have scored in the past for M/M Mick Flynn. M/M Mick Flynn has topped the ISRF at least 10 times since he started racing . This bird is a Jansen birds from Jack Cornes of Galaxy lofts. M/M Mick Flynn is one of the top flyers in the I S R F and Sarsfield R P C and are also keen fanciers who have all intentions of winning a few more races this year.
