Grogan and Kearns race in the Finglas RPC . With 34 members, the Finglas club is one of the top clubs in the Irish South Road Federation and they have won the yearly averages shield in the I.S.R.F many times . Grogan and Kearns were also the top flyers in the I.S.R.F in 2011 and won the averages in their club for the last 2 years.
On May 5th the I.S.R.F liberated 10537 bird in a SW wind from Mallow. Grogan and Kearns flew 132 miles 605 yards from Mallow and with a three year old hen they have topped the Finglas club with a velocity of 2024.261 y/m against 792 birds. This hen has a very good racing history, achieving five seconds among other club and federation positions. There is a 50 bird limit in the I.S.R.F and Grogan and Kearns would send 50 birds every week when possible.
This won’t be the last we will hear from this partnership as they are very keen racing pigeon men.
The top club this week is the Dublin North East with 646 points . The top member this week is M & G McCourt North Side with 436 points. |
